My portrait of Maude Fealy — a silent film actress born in 1883 — is a representative of hope, resilience, and new beginnings. Some portraits from the collection showcase a quieter confidence but Maude is bold, bright, and lighthearted. She is the scent of fresh air after a rainfall and the first days of spring, and I hope you enjoy her portrait!
