“Steady” is the sister painting to my “Alberta” portrait. Like the portrait, this painting represents the power in simply carrying on. A tree is not especially healthy or strong if it sprints toward the sun too quickly; however, growing towards the light slowly and steadily creates density, health, and the ability to withstand storms and whatever else may come. The quiet forward march of a tree growing steadily is not flashy or shocking — you do not see the process of growth immediately, but after a time you see how large and beautiful it has become.
